The Squashmore Flop
This song was also written and recorded in the Fall of 1999, although it was never intended as part of the Thinking Man's Pig
project. Instead it grew out of a series of group emails riffing on the idea of a band called the Squashmore Buggs.
It was very funny, and I think Bop actually started writing a story about them. Pinky gets a writing credit on this one,
because he was the one who thought of the title. Bop and I had a blast researching various dance song lyrics
and warping them. I think this lyric is hilarious. Making the music was also a hoot, like a throwback to Bop
and the Zeroes. It seemed perfect for a hidden bonus track, and a reward for making it through almost 20 minutes of Pigwind.
The Squashmore Flop
Wa-hell you "HEEL" her on the forehead just to make her feel-a right
Then you herkyjerkher loose and you herkyjerkher tight
A-then you take your fingahs, draw her figure in the air
Now trance like a zombie, ignore her bitchy stare
The twistin' -- it's all over -- the dancin's gonna stop
You're gonna tune in now to the Squashmore Flop
wa-hell you snap just one finger and clap a single hand
shaky shake a knee and now you understand
you don't need a partner and you don't need a clue
just listen to me now I'll tell you what to do
The twistin' -- it's all over -- the dancin's gonna stop
You're gonna tune in now to the Squashmore Flop
yeah... the squashmore flop
Chinese chop your suey cuz her kitty cat's so tight
"HEEL" her on the forehead.... she's back in the light
forget your finger trace her figure with your eyes
she's tranced by your flop, she is hypnotized.
The twistin' -- it's all over -- the dancin's gonna stop
You're gonna tune in now to the Squashmore Flop
yeah... the squashmore flop
The twistin' -- it's all over -- the dancin's gonna stop
