Bop and I knew that The Leaf would be the first song on the "album," and that that it would be followed by an instrumental bit that would introduce the primary musical themes of the cycle a la Quadrophenia. Alas, this instrumental was never done, and became the first piece I had to find a way to recreate in the summer of 2009.

Thinking Man's Pig (it made sense to me to name this song after the overall cycle, again, like Quadrophenia) was created by editing together 1) the beginning of Chester, minus the ambience; 2) a couple of bits of Echoes, one my my ideas for the finale; 3) part of the instrumental track of one of my many Leaf demos, and 4) another bit that I had that didn't seem to fit anywhere else.
